Daddy Den

The Greater Lansing Baby Fair has programming for all! Join local dads from Willow Tree Family Center and more for knowledge, camaraderie, and support. There will be a lounge for Dads to connect and learn.

We are excited to welcome the Daddy Daughter Hair Factory in 2018! WHAT DOES DDHF TEACH? The dad and daughter duos at DDHF are hand picked by staff to teach the basics of hair care and braiding within each of their respective communities. These dad and daughter teams teach classes that go over brushing hair, detangling, maintenance, and basic braids and hair styles that work well to keep hair out of our girls faces all while encouraging a healthy father daughter relationship.
11:30 – Basic Hair tips, washing, conditioning, brushing.  Then basic pony tail
12:15 – Replay the pony tail, basic braid
1:00 –   Replay pony tail, donut bun/regular bun
1:45 –   Replay pony tail, fishtail braid
2:15 –   Replay pony tail,  basic braid
2:45 –   Replay pony tail, donut bun/regular bun

strollerStroller Strides is a total fitness program that moms can do with their babies. It includes power walking and intervals of strength and body toning exercises using exercise tubing, the stroller and the environment. Taught by certified and specially trained fitness instructors, it is a great workout for any level of exerciser. Stroller Strides instructors weave songs and activities into the routine designed to entertain and engage baby, while moms are led through a series of exercises specific to her role as mom. Lansing Doula Network


Meet the Lansing Doula Network for information, education, and support. The LDN’s goals include creating a network of doulas and providing support through professional development opportunities, helping improve community knowledge of doulas, increasing the number of births attended by doulas in Ingham county and improving birth outcomes in Ingham County.

Stop by throughout the day to learn comfort measure techniques for pregnancy and labor!

Little LearnersAs a new parent, it is easy to forget that you are your child’s first teacher, and learning starts from day one! Stop by and learn how reading, singing, and other simple activities can support optimal development and strong relationships between caregiver and child. Meet experts from Capital Area District Libraries  who will be providing parent information to foster your child’s social, emotional, and intellectual growth!

Find comfy chairs to feed your baby and a place to change diapers inside the event hall. Local lactation experts from La Leche League of East Lansing, La Leche League Delta Waverly, MI Breastfeeding Network, Baby Cafe, and the Capital Area Breastfeeding Coalition will be on hand if you need immediate support.
